Today we had to work on a case study that answers the question, "Evaluate the significance of contemporary technologies which have changed out relationship with the media" instead of writing 500 words for it, Mr. James had us do 300 which was really good because it was hard finding ideas of how to elaborate. I did research and found the significance of contemporary technology and how it changed out relationship with media because now we get our information faster and t allows people to share their moment, opinions, and thoughts on like for millions of people to see.

case study 300 words

Contemporary technology has really changed the way we few and feel about our relationship with the media . Instead of the old times we now use TVs, smartphones, and the internet while before we used the news, papers, and radio which we don’t really use anymore . Now with smartphones, social media, and the internet it's like we are really experiencing and learning about the action better. Also, w ith sma rtphones we can just take a pi cture and upload it and within seconds thousands or even millions of people can see it and share the moment with you. Now that we are present viewers than passive viewers we can interact, comment, or share things that you see online with others; allowing us to share our moments, thoughts, and opinions on things. Phones are also all about speed, news travels faster, even if it spre a ds the wrong kind of information . We consume and interpret everything online/internet; we are more connected than ever! update 02/22/24

February 22nd, 2024 Today I finished my 500 word essay about cross media convergence and synergy, the question was, "How important is cross-media convergence and synergy in the media you have studied?" This essay felt really long but it really showed me how different platforms can work together with different platforms or just expanding their media to different social media to expand and advertise their product, streaming service, or media platforms. I also restarted my magazine, it is going to be about skin care and makeup; which ones are bad for you and good, including the top 10 best selling products.

Magazine (final project) planning questions- advertising

What kinds of products and services end up being featured in the magazine?   The product or service that is being featured is Drake's concert. Having him be the main page and all the other words around him make him the main idea, so when the reader reads that it is a concert, they will see Drake and make an inference that it is going to be his concert. Knowing that they are a fan will want them to go to the concert.  Giving the magazines to people on the street, doctor offices, grocery stores, or gas stations. Some people could be interested in getting a magazine on the streets and give them a chance to read them when walking could give potential customers. That includes giving them to medial offices because when waiting in the doctor offices people could read them and find a desire to go. For grocery stores and gas stations, they show them on display at the cash register so when they are scanning the groceries the potential buyers can look at the magazines and th...

Magazine (final project) planning questions- Topography

What mood, tone, or attitude is suggested by the shape, size, and arrangement of the letters?      The mood and tone of the magazine cover is excitement and happy, it represents how a concert is coming and everyone should be excited because it is going to be “lit .” The size announcement is the whole page and the colors aren’t so vibrant but this will still make the reader want to read it since it is the first page, having it be the first pa ge and letters big grasp the readers attention and make them want to read it.  The size, color, and shape of the magazine helps with the attention grabbing of your audience. Having the word, "concert" in really big letters and in white which is the opposite color or the actual picture so it stands out for the people to read. Also making the picture the first thing that people see creates a mood of curiosity so the person will look at the magazine and wonder what is up with the man and see that it is his concert coming up.

Magazine (final project) planning questions- title

What does it suggest about the magazine and the reader?   It suggests that the magazine will be picked up by a reader that enjoys Drake's songs and will give them the idea to go to his concert.  When creating your title, it should be big and eye catching, when I thought wanted to catch my audience’s attention the title should be summing up basically what you are trying to advertise. For example, I am advertising Drake’s concert, so I put the title in big words, “concert ” to let the reader see that it is a concert and then a picture of Drake so that they know that it is his. Your title should suggest what the mood you are giving off, the font and size is also important. When choosing the font, it should represent your what your showing of, if it’s a horror movie the font should be sort of scary , or if it is happy the font should be lively . Now for the size, according to your topic the size does matter, sometimes when the logo matters more you have to make...
